The name, Goopy Bagha Productions Limited, was chosen to signal that like Goopy Gyne and Bagha Byne, we want to use the magic of film to fulfill our part and goal by mixing professionalism, creativity and resourcefulness to provide quality productions of advertisements, corporate audio-visuals, films and documentary.

A mix-match of international and local skills, the team targets to become a leading branding in the media and a family of dedicated, inquisitive, resourceful and efficient production people with only one goal in mind; creating entertaining and aesthetically pleasing productions to meet the demands of the market.

Bijon Imtiaz

Bijon is the first Bangladeshi Film Production/Directing MFA- graduate from the prestigious Film, Television, and Theatre Department of University of California, Los Angeles. He has received numerous awards for his filmmaking including Motion Picture Association of America Awards, Edie and Lew Wasserman Film Production fellowship, Dorothy Arzner Memorial Awards, and The Nancy Richardson Fund. Bijon’s documentary proposal Surf Girls won the Colors of Asia competition at Tokyo Docs. His directorial debut film Kingdom of Clay Subjects World Premiered at 42nd Seattle International Film Festival.

Arifur Rahman

Arifur Rahman became interested in filmmaking while studying Anthropology at Jahangirnagar University. He has produced shows in collaboration with BBC, Scottish Documentary Institute, Bangladesh Documentary Council, and NHK TV. His films have played at the prestigious Sheffield Doc/Fest and International Human Rights Liberation Film Festival. Arifur’s documentary proposal Surf Girls won the Colors of Asia competition at Tokyo Docs 2015. His debut produced film Kingdom of Clay Subjects World Premiered at 42nd Seattle International Film Festival.

Imran Ahmed

Imran Ahmed is an architect and filmmaker whose work lies at the intersection of spatial design and storytelling. With a background in both architecture and cinema, he sees design and narrative as powerful tools to provoke reflection and foster social change. Having graduated from the Master’s in Architecture and Urban Design program at UCLA, Imran remains engaged in projects ranging from built environments to socially conscious films, always striving to address contemporary and community-based issues through thoughtful, context-driven work. He is proficient in Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, D5 Render, and Lumion for architectural modeling and visualization, and is skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and emerging AI tools such as Midjourney and Stable Diffusion, enhancing his creative and visual storytelling practice.
